We need more than bro time, man caves, conspiracy theories, and binging youtube clips to nourish our existential soul.
For five incredible days, we’ll revel in the goodness of being alive while exploring the hidden parts of ourselves! In the loving company of our brothers, we’ll have the space to face our shame, anger, or fear with sincerity and support.
By the end of our inspiring journey, you'll walk away with practical tools to enhance your mental well-being, foster emotional maturity in your relationships, and ignite your deep sense of God-given purpose in the world.

Rainforest Location
The Rooted Retreat is situated in the abundance of the El Yunque Rainforest between the Mountain and Caribbean Sea @ The Kineo Center. It is a wild and wonderful environment. Palm trees, waterfalls, sandy beaches, hiking trails. We even have an Olympic size pool. We are surrounded by the cathedral of creation.
Eco Adventures
Daily you will have the option to choose and adventure with a cluster of guys - Rainforest Hiking, Surfing, Kayaking, & Rock Rappelling, Deep Sea Fishing, Swimming in the ocean, Bio Lumenscint Bay
Local Chefs
We will eat well, together, around the table and the bonfire. Additionally, we will have some of our favorite local chefs craft fresh meals. A roast, a marinated meats, as well as local Puerto Rican rums.

Jermaine considers boating, fishing, traveling, music, and spending time with his family vital self care activities.

Leo Ayala
Leo is a “wounded healer.” His ministry results from years of internal crisis and a life bathed with God’s grace. After more than 20 years serving as a lead pastor in Puerto Rico, he started struggling with an anxiety disorder, burnout, and depression.
He now passionately serves as Spiritual Director w/ Caminando Juntos (for Latino pastors) and as a Kineo Center Coach in Puerto Rico. He has Doctoral Degree in Spiritual Formation at Nazarene Theological Seminary.

Kevin Colón
Kevin Colón is a church-planter and pastor turned government communications professional who has loved his city, Superior, Colorado, for 20+ years. Originally from Puerto Rico, Kevin took a circuitous path to Colorado. Kevin has led workshops and retreats for Serendipity House, Missio, and GlocalNet multi-faith facilitations. He proudly serves on the board of the Kineo Center.

Dr. David Martin founded Precision Chiropractic in Durham, North Carolina. And was the Managing Doctor Quirosalud Borjesson, Arequipa Peru. He has a passion for moving beyond symptom care into a more whole-body health approach.
We need each other, this is why we take a small-batch of men, 20 only, on a emotional, spiritual, and relational pathway to find their soul again. With expert guides, we will face our shame, our anger, and our fear—without judgement. We will arise with clarity, about who we are and who we are not. We will reenter the orbit of our lives with a breakthrough that only Jesus could facilitate.
